Providing Everything Our Students Need To Succeed
We believe that literacy is essential to learning and communication. Reading, writing, speaking and listening are important life skills that help our students to make sense of the world. We believe that all aspects of literacy are important for a student to be truly literate. We will strive to ‘provide the fuel that will ensure our students are captured by the spark, so that they become successful life-long readers and writers,’ and communicators.
Here at St Mary's we help students develop an understanding of mathematics in many different ways such as: exploring visuals, holding group discussions, practical activities, using materials and making mathematical language explicit.
Our students use a range of digital tools to collaborate, problem-solve, innovate, create and become computer-literate. They learn to manage their online actions and interactions safely and sensibly to become responsible digital citizens who can learn anywhere and anytime.
